Services in the Valley
Bathroom, Shower and Tile Work for Wimberley Homes
Most Wimberley projects we take on begin in the bathroom. Some owners want the whole room redone, with a new layout, new fixtures and tile from the floor up. Others need one tired shower rebuilt, or a tub nobody uses traded for a shower that is easier to step into.
- Bathroom remodeling in Wimberley for a full update of the room
- Shower renovation to replace a worn or leaking tile shower
- Tub to shower conversion when the old tub sits unused
- Tile installation for floors, walls and backsplashes
- Tile repair for cracked tile and grout that has started to fail
Because our company is based here, a Wimberley job is close to home. We can see the room in person, talk through tile and layout choices, and plan the work before a single box of tile is ordered.

Tile That Suits Life Along Cypress Creek
Cypress Creek is the thread that ties Wimberley together. It rises at Jacob's Well, runs past Blue Hole and through Wimberley Square, then joins the Blanco River inside town. Plenty of homes here sit on wooded hillsides above the creek or the river, and many owners want a bathroom that feels as calm as the view.
That often means natural colors, stone looks and simple patterns that will still look right in twenty years. Porcelain tile is a strong choice for those looks because it is dense and holds up to daily water. We also talk with owners about grout color, since a darker or mid tone hides everyday wear better than bright white.
Much of the valley relies on wells in the Middle Trinity Aquifer. If you see white spots building up on your shower glass, tell us, and we will factor that into the grout and finish choices.

Getaways and Rentals
Updating Guest Baths in Wimberley Cabins and Weekend Homes
Wimberley has long drawn weekend visitors, and census counts show a share of its homes are held for seasonal or recreational use. Those cabins and getaway houses often have a guest bath that saw heavy use and little care. A dated tub surround, loose floor tile or stained grout can make an otherwise lovely stay feel worn.
A tile update can fix that without a full rebuild. Fresh grout, a new shower surround or a tile floor that stands up to wet feet and sandy shoes goes a long way. For a rental, we steer owners toward tile and grout that clean up fast between guests.
If the house sits empty part of the year, call us to talk through access and timing. We will plan the work so the bathroom is ready when you or your guests return.

Rebuilding Bathrooms After High Water on the Blanco
Wimberley knows what the Blanco River can do. On May 25, 2015, the river rose through town and crested at an estimated 41.5 feet, nearly 30 feet above flood stage. Many families spent the months that followed rebuilding rooms, bathrooms included.
When a bathroom has taken on water, tile is often only part of the story. Wet backer board, swollen subfloor and moldy drywall behind the tile need to come out before anything new goes in. Setting fresh tile over damaged material only hides the problem for a while.
For lower floors close to the water, we favor materials that shrug off moisture: porcelain tile, cement backer board and a proper waterproof layer behind the shower walls. Those choices will not stop a flood, but they make the room far easier to clean up and dry out if water ever returns.

What a Wimberley Tile Project With Lee Looks Like
Every job starts with a conversation and a look at the space. Lee wants to know how you use the room, what bothers you about it now and what you hope it will feel like when the work is done. From there we settle on a layout, the tile and the fixtures.
On the work days, the old surfaces come out first, down to a sound base. Next comes the prep that nobody sees but everyone depends on: a flat, solid floor, the right backer board and a waterproof layer in the shower. Only then does the tile go down and the grout go in.
We keep the work area tidy as we go and clean up when the job is finished. The goal is a bathroom you are glad to walk into every morning, built the way a third-generation tile company believes it should be.

Serving the Wimberley Valley and the Towns Beyond It
Wimberley sits in western Hays County, about 38 miles from Austin and 58 miles from San Antonio. From here, we work across Hays, Comal, Travis, Guadalupe and Bexar counties, anywhere from Wimberley to Austin and San Antonio.
The Blanco River leaves Wimberley and meets the San Marcos River near San Marcos, our neighbor to the southeast. We also take on projects in Kyle, Dripping Springs, Blanco, Canyon Lake and New Braunfels.
Each of those towns has its own homes, water and ground to work with, and we plan every job around them. If your town is not named here, it may still be in reach. The full list sits on our service areas page, or you can call and ask.
Wimberley Bathroom and Tile Questions
Do you take on projects outside Wimberley city limits?
Yes. Plenty of the homes we work on sit outside the city limits, out along the river roads and on the hills around the valley. If your address says Wimberley, or you live anywhere between here, Austin and San Antonio, we can talk about your project. Call (737) 335-5409 and tell us where the house is and what the bathroom needs.
What should I do about white mineral spots on my shower tile?
Mineral spots come from water drying on the surface and leaving what it carried behind. Regular wiping after a shower helps a great deal. When we build or rebuild a shower, we can suggest tile with fewer deep textures, grout that resists staining and glass that is easier to keep clear. Those choices make weekly cleaning much quicker for valley homes.
Can you redo the bathroom in a weekend cabin we rent out?
Yes. Guest bathrooms in getaway cabins are a good fit for our tile work, from a new shower surround to a fresh floor or regrouting. Tell us when the cabin is booked and when it sits empty, and we will plan the work around those dates. We will also point you toward finishes that clean up fast between guests.
Our bathroom flooded once before. What tile setup do you suggest?
For a bathroom that has seen water before, we start by removing anything that stayed wet, including backer board and subfloor. Then we rebuild with materials that tolerate moisture, such as porcelain tile and cement backer board, with a waterproof layer behind the shower walls. That setup is easier to dry out and clean if water ever comes back in.
